Dong Xiwen (1914-1973) is a renowned artist using oil media. He ever studied at Suzhou Fine Art School, Hangzhou Fine Art School and Shanghai Fine Arts School. After 1946, he served as teacher at National Beiping Art School, and in the following years he was professor, head of Oil Media Studio and teacher of Oil Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
