Yang Dongbai, was born in 1959 in Wenzhou of Zhejiang province. He graduated in Industry Middle School of Shanghai Boulder Carving Factory and now is the artist of art department of Shanghai Nature Museum. His works "Drinking Bear" which was created in 1980s won the gold prize of the 6th national arts exhibition and shocked theSculpture circles. The tri-lobed body resting on three sturdy feet decorated with a zigzag band in relief framing each section, with a single large bovine mask-headed loop handle covering a three-glyph pictogram, (Clan's name) FU YI, the rim with a pair of upright posts ending in compressed bud finials, the dark patina with some green encrustation.
